  • Taught Intro to Media and Advertising (MMM101) at Virginia College, Fall 2003.


  • Taught Electronic Media (MMM 120) at Virginia College, Summer 2003.


  • Co- facilitated Customer Focused Selling (week long training) to the Arbitron sales team in December 2000.


  • Made several presentations on a variety of issues at Arbitron summer and winter sales meetings, 1998 - 2001.


  • Presented “Radio’s Biggest Local Spenders Speak Out” at the Radio Advertising Bureau Managing Sales Conference, February 2000.


  • Guest on Finebaum radio program (WERC) several times since 1998 (most recent appearance was April 2, 2003).


  • Taught “College of Radio Knowledge” class at Samford after Sunset, 1999.


  • Spoke and participated in debates during the MAPS referendum campaign during the summer of 1998.


  • Taught a class on negotiation at UAB Special Studies,1998.


  • Facilitated and led weekly group training at Dick Broadcasting, 1995-1998.


  • Selected as Club Management Co-coordinator for the American Advertising Federation (AAF) 7th District, 1995-1996.


  • Spoke to audiences up to 400 people over the two years that I was President and President-Elect of the Birmingham Advertising Club (now named Birmingham Ad Fed) from 1994 – 1996.


  • Presented “Staying Close To Your Customers” to the Birmingham Ad Fed, Gadsden Ad Club, Dothan Ad Club, Advertising Federation of Greater Mobile, Tuscaloosa Ad Club, West Florida Advertising Council, 7th District Ameridan Advertising Federation (AAF), and 4th District AAF from 1995 - 2003.


  • Presented to the Birmingham Media Club several times since 1985.


  • Visited and presented at area high schools on careers in advertising.


  • Spoke as guest speaker for several classes at The University of Alabama, UAB and UAB Special Studies.


  • Appeared on a panel titled “Alternative Route” at the Country Music Association Convention in Nashville, 1990.


  • Taught “Broadcast and Cable Selling” at the University of Alabama in 1989. Co-developed and taught the course with another instructor from the broadcast industry.


  • Made presentations in San Francisco and Chicago in 1989 to the National Food Brokers Association. Presentations included case studies showing the local media’s ability to help manufacturers localize marketing efforts.
